Documentary in progress...
The adventure was amazing, but the journey is far from over. We're working on turning over 200 hours of video footage into a feature length documentary! |
We did it!
2,189.1 miles later we made it to the final summit of the Appalachian Trail on a cold and windy day. The biggest THANK YOU to everyone for the love and support that helped us achieve this feat! We couldn't have done it without you.
Our Purpose
What does it look like to take responsibility for the world we've inherited?
We, The Leavers, cannot ignore the signs - our world faces ongoing ecological and cultural degeneration. We will no longer watch without acting. Our future will depend on the understanding that we are not separate from nature, but one and the same. We left the life we knew behind to hike from Georgia to Maine along the Appalachian Trail in search of others who wonder - How can we create a vibrant and thriving world worth sharing with those who will follow after? To change our culture, we must change our story - the story that belongs to all of us. |

Our aim is to inspire others to get out into their own communities and natural spaces to initiate a movement based on a hopeful vision of a thriving and just world through local, passionate action. Find out more...
